Phys Ed Teacher, , instructs students once a week. They begin the year with the Presidential Physical Fitness Exam followed by a variety of sports and activities.
Mrs. Carr and Mrs. Chache apply their artistic degrees by combining Art Class with each grade's History curriculum. Students are exposed to basic art techniques of drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking, as well as Art History.
Tiny Acorns Preschool - Mrs. Cross
Mrs. Cross lives in Scott Township with her husband, Scott and her two daughters. Her husband has built homes in the Clarks Summit area for twenty years. Her daughters, Emily and Alana, are both in the 9th grade and are attending charter schools this year. Carol is an active member at Clarks Summit Evangelical Free Bible church where she leads Women's Bible study. She earned a Special Education degree from Millersville University.
Kindergarten - Mrs. Werzinski
Mrs. Werzinski currently resides in Harding, PA, with her husband Mark, and the youngest of their children. They are in the U.S. on an extended furlough from their missionary work in South Africa. Mrs. Werzinski taught Kindergarten at Ebeneezer Faith Christian School in Plymouth, PA before joining the staff at The Geneva School. She has been involved in education in the U.S. and South Africa, and is a graduate of Houghton College with a B.S. in Christian Education and Bible. She and her husband hope to return to South Africa in the future.
Grades 1 & 2 - Mrs. Davis [ Lead Teacher]
Mrs. Davis resides in Clarks Summit with her husband Ken, a staff member of Baptist Bible Seminary. Originally from San Diego, CA area, the Davis family lived in South Carolina and Indiana before moving to Pennsylvania. They travel frequently with their work in church planting. Mrs. Davis has a B.A. from Bob Jones University and earned a Master's Degree from Baptist Bible College.
Grade 3 & 4 - Miss Arp [Grammar Lead]
Miss Arp graduated from Baptist Bible College with a degree in Elementary Education. After college she worked for several years for the Scranton Counseling Center with special needs children in public school.
Grades 5 & 6- Miss Zabower
Miss Zabower graduated from Baptist Bible College with a degree in Elementary Education. She recently moved to the area from the Lehigh Valley, and she enjoys ministering in the children's department at Parker Hill Community Church.
Grade 7 & 8- Mrs. Nordquist - Science and Math [Logic Lead]
Mrs. Nordquist has been involved as a Christian teacher in mission high schools, missionary children's schools, government schools, private schools, Bible Colleges, Accelerated Christian Education learning centers, and in the supervision of student teachers in two University Departments of Education. She has also served on school management committees and considers herself privileged to have had the opportunity for a broad exposure to the world of Christian Education. During her 35 + years of teaching she has functioned as a classroom teacher, school principal, head of department, and has been involved in curriculum development for students ranging from elementary to high school ages. She enjoys teaching Mathematics and Science. She taught at Geneva in 2000-2002. Now she has returned to teach at Geneva once again.
Grade 7 & 8 - Mrs. Schwab - English and Composition
Mrs. Schwab resides in Honesdale, PA with her husband Michael and sons Luke and Jesse. She has a B.S. from Bloomsburg State College and earned a Master’s Degree from Oral Roberts University. Mrs. Schwab has been involved in education since 1983. She enjoys working at TGS where her sons currently attend.
